Job summary
The Clinical technician will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care at Orant Charities Africa’s health facilities. They will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, providing preventive healthcare services, and ensuring patients receive compassionate and professional treatment.
The Clinical Technician will also play a key role in health education, disease prevention, and supporting community health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary health care provider both at static and mobile outreach clinics.
- Collect a complete medical history and perform a comprehensive clinical examination per medical council protocols.
- Prescribe appropriate treatment and plan a proper follow-up
- Provide maternal and neonatal health care services Ensure a referral letter/form is written for the transfer of the patient from Kasese to a referral center
- Maintain an environment where patient’s needs are prioritized
- Make sure that tools and equipment used in the clinic are available
- Compile, analyze, and utilize data for decision making
- Compile and submit reports to the supervisor every month
- Perform reasonable work-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum of Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
- Must be registered with the Medical Council of Malawi with a valid practicing license.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical work experience will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage emergencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in a rural health facility setting.
