The Root and Tuber Crops Development Trust (RTCDT) is a Malawian non-profit organization established in 2004 to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector. It focuses on boosting the productivity, processing, and marketing of key root and tuber crops such as cassava, sweet potato, and Irish potato. Operating across various districts in Malawi, the Trust partners with smallholder farmers, researchers, and processors. Its primary goal is to improve food security, enhance nutrition, and generate sustainable income for rural communities throughout Malawi. Through innovative programs, RTCDT plays a vital role in fostering resilient agricultural development within the nation.
