CorpsAfrica is a non-profit organisation that places volunteers in underserved communities across Africa, including Malawi, to facilitate small-scale, community-led development projects. In Malawi, nicknamed the ‘warm heart of Africa’ for its people’s friendliness and hospitality, CorpsAfrica volunteers live with local communities for extended periods, listening to residents’ needs and helping them design and implement their own solutions. The country has remained a popular destination for CorpsAfrica’s Exchange programme, which allows volunteers from other countries where the organisation operates to serve abroad. Through this grassroots model, CorpsAfrica supports Malawian communities in areas such as education, health, agriculture, and economic opportunity.
