Nkhotakota District Council is the local government authority responsible for administering the Nkhotakota District in central Malawi. The council oversees service delivery, infrastructure development, and community development programs across the district, which borders Lake Malawi. It manages local planning, education, health services coordination, and agricultural extension support for a predominantly rural population. The council operates under Malawi’s decentralized governance framework and works with national ministries and development partners to implement district-level initiatives.
