Est.Brothers Ltd is a family-owned company operating across agribusiness, horticulture, sustainable farming, and import/export. As our operations grow, we are looking for a knowledgeable, practical and results-oriented professional to join our team as an Agronomist and contribute to improved productivity and sustainable farming. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO/MD to develop and implement crop production programmes, manage soil and plant nutrition, oversee pest and disease control, and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement crop production programmes.
  • Recommend seed varieties, planting methods and production techniques.
  • Monitor crop development and identify yield and quality risks.
  • Support Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and maintain crop calendars.
  • Coordinate soil sampling and testing programmes.
  • Interpret results and recommend fertiliser and nutrition plans.
  • Monitor soil fertility and promote efficient input use.
  • Scout fields and identify crop health problems.
  • Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes.
  • Monitor and evaluate agrochemical use.
  • Monitor crop water requirements and irrigation.
  • Improve water-use efficiency and manage water-stress risks.
  • Maintain accurate agronomic records and reports.
  • Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
  • Support compliance with agricultural and food-safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Plant Science, Horticulture or a related field.
  • Practical experience in commercial crop production or farm agronomy.
  • Strong knowledge of soil fertility, crop nutrition, pest & disease management and irrigation.
  • Experience in horticultural or commercial crops is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret soil and crop data and provide practical solutions.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel and agricultural systems).
  • Valid driving licence would be advantageous.
  • Must be practical, proactive, and able to translate technical agronomic knowledge into actions that improve productivity and profitability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, resilience, and a sustainability-focused mindset.
