Stephanos Foundation is a Reformed Christian faith-based international non-governmental organisation (NGO) located in Chilangoma, Chileka, Blantyre, Malawi. Established in Malawi in 1994 through an initiative that originated in the Netherlands, the Foundation is committed to improving the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children through various care and development programmes. Stephanos Foundation is duly registered with the Council for Non-Governmental Organisations in Malawi (CONGOMA), the NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA), and the Employers’ Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM).
The Stephanos Foundation is therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals to fill the following four positions, which are full-time, three-year contracts, based at Chilangoma in Blantyre.
POSITION: PLUMBING INSTRUCTOR
Reporting to: The Principal
Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality, competency-based training in plumbing and irrigation by planning and implementing effective teaching and assessment programmes, mentoring apprentices, and maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment. The position is responsible for managing training resources and equipment, supporting curriculum development, and ensuring compliance with examining trade board requirements and industry standards to equip learners with relevant technical knowledge and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver competency-based plumbing and irrigation training programmes.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans, and assess students through assignments, tests, and practical evaluations.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices while fostering a conducive and disciplined learning environment.
- Manage and safeguard trade tools, equipment, classrooms, and training materials, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and colleagues in curriculum development and ensure training aligns with examining trade board requirements.

- At least two (2) years relevant work experience.
