Eagles Relief and Development Programme is implementing the Climate Adaptation and Resilience for Communities (FCDO Project) with financial support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through the NGO Humanitarian Committee led by Self Help Africa and Resilience Lead Concern Worldwide.

The Climate Adaptation and Resilience for Communities project aims to contribute to the reduction of adverse impacts of climate shocks among vulnerable households through strengthened community abilities/resilience, improved anticipatory action, and strengthened coordination and shared learning among institutions mandated to respond to crises. The project is implemented through a 9-member Humanitarian Consortium in Nsanje, Chikwawa, Nkhotakota, and Phalombe, building community resilience through scalable community-identified actions, early warning systems, cash support, rehabilitation of solar-powered irrigation schemes, Community Resilience Funds, and agricultural inputs.

To ensure effective execution, Eagles Relief and Development Programme seeks qualified, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to fill the following positions:

DRIVER & ADMIN ASSISTANT (1 POST)

Job Purpose
The Driver & Admin Assistant will provide safe, reliable, and efficient driving services for project personnel and goods while offering routine administrative support to the Chikwawa field office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive project vehicles for field operations, official trips, and logistics as assigned.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks, monitor fuel consumption, and ensure timely vehicle maintenance and routine checks.
  • Support field teams with logistical arrangements for workshops, distributions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with organization traffic policies and local road safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
  • Valid Clean Defensive Driving License (Class C1 or higher).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional driving experience, preferably within an NGO setting in challenging field terrains.
